Consignor Fee

We have a consignor fee of $10 which will be deducted from your check.
Bye-Buy Consign wants to make sure that all consignors are well
compensated for their time and effort, so we always give our consignors
70% of what their items sell for.
Please visit the
Volunteer page for a way to increase your earnings!
                Merchandise Preparation

You will need the following items to prepare your merchandise for the sale:
  • Wire hangers
  • 60-67 lb. 8 1/2 x 11 White card stock ONLY to print your tags
  • Safety pins
  • Clear packing tape
  • Plastic baggies

We ask that you use only wire hangers for our sale.  Plastic hangers are allowed
but it is hard to get the safety pins secured correctly and sometimes clothing
    ends up on the floor.

We recommend using large safety pins.  After putting on thousands of safety
pins preparing our items, we know how tired your fingers can get opening and
closing them; plus they are stronger and easier to use on bulky items.

                        Tagging

We use an online POS bar coding system which allows us to scan merchandise as
it is sold.  This will help us get your checks out quicker and also allows you to
reconcile items at the end of the sale.

To create tags for your items:
  • Click the link to log on to My Consignment Manager.
  • Log in as directed.
  • Click 'Enter Items' tab and fill in the required blanks.
Please be sure you combine items so that you are pricing with a minimum of
    $2.00.
  • Print your tags.
All tags must be printed on 60-67 lbs. 8 1/2 x 11 White Card Stock only.
No other will be accepted.  Our scanners will not be able to scan the bar
code if the paper is thicker or color paper.  Please do not cover the bar
code in any way.  All items MUST be able to scan.  The bar codes should
be clear and you should be able to see white spaces in between the bar
code lines.  If you make a mistake on a tag, please reprint it, we do not
accept tags marked out or hand written.

**HINT: When printing your tags, make sure your ink isn't low, and set your
printer cartridge to print in black ink or grayscale only**

                How to price your merchandise

The best part about Bye-Buy Consign is that the consignor sets the price for
their items.  I know this can seem overwhelming but remember that most items
will sell for 75% off of what they cost new.  Some name brands like Gymboree,
Gap, Fisher-Price etc., may sell for more.  Please place items together so that
you are pricing with a minimum of $2.00.
We give you the option to include your unsold items in the 1/2 price sale and/or
donate any unsold items to charity.

                           Tips

Price your items to sell!  You will be much happier that your item sold at
a fair price, than taking back something you no longer need.

Taking a little extra time in your preparation can make a huge difference in the
    appearance of your items.
  • Iron and starch your clothing that is wrinkled.
  • Clip loose threads, replace missing buttons, check zippers.
  • Use a magic eraser on toys that are marked.  For example, an outside toy
that is wiped down using a magic eraser may look like new again.

Tape shut your baggies with clear packing tape to prevent things getting lost .
We also suggest that for smaller clothing (3T or below) using children sized
wire hangers.  Also remember for that for these smaller sizes, multiple items on
a hanger sell better than just a shirt or pants.  If you have three shirts that
don't have pants put those together to build up the value of your items.

Sometimes tags do get lost, so we suggest you put a small piece of tape with
your consignor number on the tag inside the clothing or on the bottom of the
toy. This way when we find a tag laying on the floor and an item that doesn't
have a tag we will know they go together.

                                                           Clothing
We will be accepting all children's, maternity, and junior clothes.
All clothing needs to be on wire hangers and safety pinned to the hanger with
the hanger facing the left (like a question mark).  For multiple pieced items,
please attach main item to the hanger with the hook of the hanger facing the left
(like a question mark) and the acessories/pieces to the first item with safety
pins. For example, put the shirt on the hanger, secure it with pins and then pin
the pants to the back of the shirt.
All tags need to be placed on the top right hand side.  Please place items
together so that you are pricing with a minimum of $2.00. Remember outfits
will sell the best, everyone loves those cute coordinated sets (matching socks
can be pinned to outfits also).   As a general rule price your items for 75% of
original retail price.  Brand names will sell for more.  Tip:  Price your items to
sell!  You will be much happier that your item sold at a fair price, than taking
back something you no longer need.

We want to keep a good reputation for high quality items, so please double
check your items for stains, rips or excess wear.  We will check all items for
quality at drop off, so please only bring items you would consider purchasing
yourself.  This is not a yard sale.  Please do not be offended if we do not accept
some of your items.  This process enables us to offer the highest quality items
to our customers.  Any items that fall short of these requirements will be
returned to you or donated if marked 'donate' on the tag.

                                                   Shoes
We will be accepting Children's Fall/Winter shoes. They must be in excellent
condition. The tag can be safety pinned to the laces or the buckle of the shoes
or place them in a baggie with the tag taped on the outside (remember please
don't tape over the bar code).  Please wipe off, polish or wash all shoes prior to
sale; new shoelaces may help them sell for a better price.  Remember to price
    using a minimum of $2.00.

                          Loose merchandise and accessories
We will be accepting hair bows, bibs, socks, rattles, nipples, bottles, etc.  Bibs
need to be free from stains and tears.  Bottles need to be in excellent condition
and with all parts (except nipples please package those separately); bottles
should be packaged with a minimum of two in a package.  Place items in a baggie
and seal with clear packing tape. Tape tag to outside of bag being careful to not
cover the bar code.  Also, remember to price using a minimum of $3.00.  If your
item is worth less than $2.00 please combine items to raise value (ie: 3 onsies,
    or 5 pairs of socks).

                                                   Toys
We will be accepting all working and running children's toys. All toys need to
be current with the times and cleaned so that you would allow your child to play
with it.  Please double check the manufacturer's web pages for current recall
info.  We will not be accepting ANY stuffed animals that do not talk or move.
If your item has more than one piece, put the printed tag on the larger item and
hand write a tag with your consignor #, and item # and place on all other
pieces.  If you have a lot of small pieces please put them in a bag together with
a hand written tag on the bag.  Please make sure that all toy pieces are included
and have batteries. Remember to price using a $2.00 minimum.  Please remember
not to put anything over the bar code.

                                   Furniture and Equipment
We will be accepting cribs, mattresses, highchairs, and other nursery
furniture.   Please double check the manufacturer's web pages for current
recall info.  If your item has more than one piece, put the printed tag on the
larger item and hand write a tag with your consignor #, and item # and place on
all other pieces.  If you have a lot of small pieces please put them in a bag
together with a hand written tag on the bag.  Please make sure that all pieces
    are included.

                                           Car Seats
We will be accepting all brands of car seats that have a manufacturer sticker
dated within the last 4 years.  Please make sure that your car seat hasn't been
recalled.  In order to resell a car seat you will need to sign a waiver that the
car seat was never in an accident or isn't currently being recalled.  Please see
our FAQ for more on recalls. We will not sell a car seat we would not put our
own child in.  Safety comes first!
