    Spring 2008 Bye-Buy Buzz #3

Time is just flying for everyone this year, so we have
extended our Consignor registration and tagging deadlines!

Consignor registration has been extended until March 2nd.
On-line tagging has been extended until March 3rd.

In response to your questions about participating in multiple
sales, we have included a link on the 'Consignor' page of our
website.  This will provide helpful information about this
topic.  Please email if you have any questions!

    Consignors, ready to get started?

  • Sort all items - clothing by gender and size, shoes, toys,
accessories, etc.  Don't forget maternity clothes!
  • Make sure toys/games include all parts and everything is in
working order.  All battery operated toys must have
working batteries.  We do not accept stuffed animals that
do not talk or move.  Wipe down toys - a Mr. Clean Magic
    Eraser works wonders!
  • Check clothes for stains, tears or missing buttons.  We do
not accept clothing that is stained or torn, etc.  Replacing
buttons, clipping loose threads and ironing help clothes look
    their best!
Group clothes together to meet the $2 minimum price per
    hanger.
  • Polish or wipe down shoes and clean the bottom soles.  Shoes
should be clean and in excellent condition.
  • Check car seats for the date on the manufacturer's
sticker.  It must be dated 2003 or newer.
  • Collect safety pins, wire hangers, clear packaging tape,
Ziploc baggies, 60-67# white card stock paper, and a black
ink cartridge for your printer, to prepare for tagging.

We'll review the tagging process in the next issue of The
Bye-Buy Buzz, so watch your email.

    Have a great week,

    Spring 2008 Bye-Buy Buzz #4 - Let's start tagging!

Last week we reviewed how to organize and sort items and
now we are ready to start tagging!

  1. Go to the 'Consignor' page of our website - www.bbconsign.
    com
  2. Register as a Consignor, if you have not already done so.
  3. Go to the tagging section of the 'Consignor' page and click
the link for 'My Consignment Manager' and log in.
  4. Go to 'Enter' items and fill in the appropriate blanks for
    each item.
Check the 'Discount' box to include items in the Half-Price
    sale or leave blank.
Check the 'Donate' box to donate unsold items to charity or
leave blank if you would like to pick up your items after the
    sale.
We recommend offering items for half-price if you are
planning to donate them.  We have seen first time
consignors donating unsold items that were not discounted!
Increase your chances to sell the items and earn more
    money!
Price items to sell.  Honestly think how much you would be
willing to pay!  Most items sell for 75% off what they cost
    new.
Please do not use too many capital letters in the item's
    'Description' fields.
Once you add items, they are saved in your inventory and
can be edited or deleted later.

Next week we will review printing tags.

Don't forget to check our 'FAQ' page for toy recall
    information.

If you have missed an edition of The Buzz, please check our
    home page for links.

    Happy Tagging!

    Spring 2008 Bye-Buy Buzz #5 - Printing your tags.

Now that you've entered all your items, it's time to print
    tags!

Go to the Consignor page at  www.bbconsign.com.

Log in to 'My Consignment Manager'.
    Click on 'Print Tags'.
Select 'all items' and 'Generate Items List'.
Follow the instructions listed to print tags.
    Print code (if needed)  PL11X8X9

**Before you print, set printer settings to black only or
gray-scale printing.  You should be able to see white spaces
between the bar code lines.  The bar code should be neat
and crisp not fuzzy.  Print on 60-67 lb. WHITE card stock
    paper only.**

    Attaching tags to your items:
Clothing on hangers - pin tag on front upper right hand side.
Shoes - pin tag to shoe laces or tape on baggie.
Large items and toys - tape tag securely on flat surface, if
    possible.
Items with multiple pieces - bag and secure items together.
Items with multiple large pieces - secure printed tag to
first piece and hand label the other pieces with Consignor #
    and Item #.
Secure your baggies with tape to prevent opening.

**Use clear packing tape and remember not to cover the
    bar code.**

Please contact us if you have any questions.

    Happy Tagging!

    Spring 2008 Bye-Buy Buzz #6 - Tagging Stress Buster

Unfortunately, the flu season has hit everyone especially
hard this year.  With that in mind, we are giving you 2 more
days to tag!  Tagging now ends Wednesday 3/5 at 3pm.

Here are a few Consignor drop off reminders to make the
process smoother and faster for everyone!
  • Please register for a drop off time to help us staff
appropriately.  Drop off times are Thursday, March 6th
from 7 am to 10 am and 3 pm to 5 pm.
  • Print a "Consignor Waiver Form" and a "Car seat Waiver
Form" (if needed) -  bring completed forms to drop off.
  • Don't forget to bring your stamped self addressed
envelope to drop off.  Please write your consignor # in the
    bottom left corner.
Links to all of the above can be found on the "Drop Off"
    page of our website.

    Drop off procedure:

  • Sign in at the registration desk before bringing in your
    items.
  • Drop off your forms and envelope.
  • Pick up your presale wrist bands.
  • Bring in your items.  Items will be checked for quality.  Any
unacceptable items will be returned to you or donated if
marked 'donate' on the tag.  Presorting clothes by size and
gender makes placing them on the racks faster.
  • Assemble/place items in appropriate areas for sale.

There is still time to sign up to volunteer and shop first!
Consignors who also volunteer will earn 75% of their sales!
Volunteering is easy and a fun way to get to know some
    great people!

Please invite your friends to experience this unique shopping
event!  We are excited about the awesome family friendly
booths and sponsors for this sale.  Be sure to register at
each booth for the many great prize give aways.  Please pick
up your goody bag filled with coupons and help us support
our local community.  Check out our home page for a list of
    sponsors!

As always, please contact us if you have any questions.
